Coming today with a pretty epic style fail on this weeks edition of #failiurefriday
This one was for IHOP from the pre-pandemic era when I didn’t do much self taping at home and you can pretty much see that with my wrinkled shirt and crazy looking hair, not to mention pretty crappy lighting.
In this scene I was suppose to act like I was a sitting on a stack of pancakes (like a pancake king) with a scepter in hand transforming things into pancakes and then jokingly interact with my son about how I’m pancake rich.
You know the old me would have probably beaten himself up after watching this again saying something like “what was I thinking or was I even thinking at all”, but the new me knows he was just doing his best with what he knew and what he was going through at the same.
The thing is you’ve got to have compassion for yourself especially when you are giving effort and trying something new because if you are not it can lead you to sucking the joy out of it and eventually quitting.
It’s honestly ok not to know things right away or even see things that might be blatantly clear to others at the time.
If you just ease up and remain open you will eventually get to know and see things you didn’t see before because you are allowing yourself the space to grow.
Be compassionate, not militant!
Love,
